Are you ready? (campaign for schools)
COVID is not over. Long COVID in children is real. Children who contract COVID may suffer for a long time past an initial infection. Our children are returning to this school year with less COVID protection than before, while COVID has harmed more people in 2022 than in 2021.
There is no one “bullet-proof” protection, only layers. High-quality masks are one of those layers, a proven preventive strategy to prevent children from getting or transmitting COVID-19 in a school or daycare setting.
Getting past the pandemic so kids can genuinely live free of the virus involves taking precautions now.
Don’t let your child have their studies and fun interrupted by COVID. Encourage your children to mask at school, and show them how. Advocate for and support COVID safety protocols in Saskatchewan schools.
